Ciao from Praha!

Hey all,

Thanks for all the comments. Its fun to hear from you!

In Frankfurt we found the coolest museum. Kristin, I took plenty of pictures for you! It was the Stewellpeter museum. He was a childrens character that was super creepy. Kristin can fill you in more. But they love him in Frankfurt. We even saw a statue-fountain of him and water came out of his long fingernails... eeee.

The sleeper car to Prague was an adventure. I felt like I was in the army or something. There were 6 of us in the room but we were so tired we slept the whole way there. The conductor came in around 2 am asking for tickets and got in an argument with the girl in our room. And then police came in at 430 asking for passports. It was a little scary... But luckily I had a strong man in the next bed to protect me....

Well, Prague is a super cool city. We´ve seen the castle, walked around old town a million times and ate traditional Czech pub food. We took a tour of pubs last night and tried a few Czech beers. Claire, we saw the Thai place you recommended but havent checked it out yet. I also saw a pair of Heelys (Meghan ' tell Jaime they dont work well on cobblestone!)

ok... thats all for now! We´ll post again from Munich!
love, carrie (and mike!)

Guten Morgen unsere lieblings! Wie gehts? Hofentlich alles ist gut, und sie haben kein mehr "essenkrank". Oh boy, is meine Deutch schlecht! I made up essenkrank which literally means "food sick". Mike- does this mean no more crab parties? Boo hoo!
Dad and I are loving your accounts of travel. Thanks for the itinerary, Carrie! Sounds so fine! Brings back many memories. Train travel was wundebar way back when - a fine backdrop for your great adventures. So glad you have booked hotels in advance! 36 years ago this month (!) when I arrived in Munchen, without a place to stay (even the hostels were full), I ended up sleeping on a cot in the foyer of a nuns' convent for the night. Cost-one mark (25¢). Now, I can imagine Carrie in a little cot, but not the two of you!
We just arrived home from Canada. Two quilts each night, a marvelous river lightning storm, good books, projects, fishing and dear friends. What more could we ask for? -Just that you two continue to enjoy every minute and return to us, happy, safe and sound. Love to you both!
Hey guys, make sure you have a beer for me. Have a blast. pop
    Love,
    Mom and Dad

Hey guys! Glad to hear that you are having fun and enjoying Germany and Prague. We are jealous, at least I am...missing all the adventure that you two are experiencing! Yes, please be sure to check up on old Hasselhoff's standings these days in Germany. Be sure to check out the fabulous curdled milk at the Euro Youth Hostel in Munchen. It is at its best in the morning. Also, I hope you guys can check out Mike's bikes. Well worth it! Of course, the Hofbrauhaus and the swweeet Glockenspeil. Actually, don't worry if you miss that. We can't wait to see you guys and spend some time in the other fair country of Canada.
    Love, Beth
Carrie, make sure Mike wears suntan lotion when he's rockin the tank top. Mike, make sure you are taking short clips so we can edit your junk in Canada. Rock it. Have fun and we'll see you soon.
